O impacto das mudanças climáticas nas Forças Armadas

Resumo

As agências de defesa internacionais têm manifestado a importância das Forças Armadas desenvolverem novas capacidades para o enfrentamento das crises climáticas. Na Europa, há várias iniciativas para compreender as implicações dos riscos naturais e das alterações do clima, no entanto, ainda é incerto, se na prática, as ações serão suficientes para reduzir as emissões dos Gases de Efeito Estufa até o ano de 2050. Nesse contexto, este artigo oferece um conjunto de medidas para o setor de Defesa Nacional para a mitigação e adaptação às alterações climáticas, considerando a incipiência de estudos sobre o tema no meio acadêmico. A metodologia neste trabalho é orientada por uma abordagem qualitativa, descritiva e bibliográfica, com o objetivo de explorar e compreender as experiências e perspectivas em relação ao fenômeno pesquisado.
