NO ESGOTAMENTO, O FIM É O COMEÇO: REFLEXÕES SOBRE A PRODUÇÃO POÉTICA PÓS-DIGITAL NO CAPITALISMO TARDIO

Resumo

Este artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre a exaustão gerada pela normalização de diferentes formas de opressão no capitalismo tardio, analisando como essa condição pode abrir caminhos para novos campos de possibilidades e alternativas. É nos períodos de convulsão que a vida grita mais alto. Partindo dessa premissa, o texto apresenta um memorial reflexivo sobre a criação de duas obras digitais, concebidas em resposta ao desejo de explorar o potencial das tecnologias digitais. Argumenta-se que essas tecnologias podem ser desviadas de seus objetivos industriais para produzir acontecimentos estéticos que expressem subjetividades múltiplas e singulares, capazes de problematizar a cultura visual homogênea da internet e possibilitar a emergência de novos mundos, questionando o propósito capitalista a partir do qual essas tecnologias digitais foram inicialmente criadas.

IN EXHAUSTION, THE END IS THE BEGINNING: REFLECTIONS ON POST-DIGITAL POETIC PRODUCTION IN LATE CAPITALISM

Abstract

This article proposes a reflection on the exhaustion arising from the normalization of various forms of oppression within late capitalism, examining how this condition can pave the way for new realms of possibilities and alternatives. In periods of turmoil, life asserts itself most vividly. Based on this premise, the text presents a reflective narrative on the creation of two digital works, conceived in response to the desire to explore digital technology’s potential. It argues that digital technologies can be repurposed beyond industrial aims to produce aesthetic events that embody diverse, singular subjectivities, capable of challenging the internet’s homogeneous visual culture and enabling the rise of alternative worlds, thereby interrogating the capitalist purpose from which these technologies were initially conceived.
